The people behind the food
I'm Amira, founder and editor-in-chief of Cuisinety. I was born in Marrakech and raised between two kitchens — my family's Moroccan cooking and the classical French technique I later trained in as a professional chef. Before Cuisinety, I spent more than 12 years cooking in restaurant kitchens and teaching weeknight cooking, and that experience shaped the site's one non-negotiable rule: every recipe you'll find here is method-reviewed by our editors before it goes live. That means the method is walked step by step, every quantity is questioned, and anything that exists only for show gets cut. If a step needs a gadget nobody owns or a technique nobody uses on a Tuesday, it doesn't survive. What can you expect from me? Tagines, breakfasts, and weeknight dinners that behave as written — clear quantities, honest timing, and food that works the second time as well as the first.
