Privacy Policy

Your trust matters to us. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

Last updated: January 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cuisinety (“we”, “us”, or “this website”, located at https://cuisinety.com) handles information when you visit, read our recipes, or interact with our newsletter. We keep this policy short on purpose — we do not collect much, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

1. Who we are

Cuisinety is a food blog publishing original recipes and cooking guides. If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, you can reach us at any time:

Email: hey@cuisinety.com
Website: https://cuisinety.com

2. Information we collect

a) Analytics data (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to understand how many people visit the site and which recipes are most popular. Plausible does not use cookies, does not identify individual visitors, and does not build advertising profiles. The aggregate data it collects (page views, referrers, approximate country, device type) cannot be used to single you out. You can read Plausible’s own privacy documentation on their website.

b) Newsletter

If you voluntarily subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect the email address you provide, solely to send you recipes and blog updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us directly. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing.

c) Affiliate links (Amazon)

Some links on this site — for example, in the “Equipment I Used” sections of recipes — are affiliate links to Amazon.com. If you click one, Amazon sets its own cookies (and may use other tracking technologies) on your device to attribute the purchase. We receive a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. These cookies are placed and governed by Amazon, not by us. See ourCookie Policy andAffiliate Disclosure for details.

d) Contact by email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever content you choose to send. We use it only to reply to you and handle your request.

e) Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information (such as IP address and request time) in server logs for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used for marketing or profiling.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not run advertising networks or cross-site ad trackers.
  • We do not use cookies for analytics (Plausible is cookieless).
  • We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and this site is not directed at children.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

For visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom:

  • Analytics: processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), using only aggregated, non-identifying data.
  • Newsletter: sent only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Affiliate cookies: set by Amazon under Amazon’s own privacy policy when you choose to click an affiliate link.

5. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access — ask what personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, for any reason.
  • Object or opt out — including the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on our side.
  • Non-discrimination — we will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, emailhey@cuisinety.com. Because we collect so little data, most requests can be handled within a few business days, and always within 30 days.

6. Data retention

Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is stored in aggregate form by Plausible and cannot be linked back to you. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted.

7. Third-party services

We limit third parties to a small, careful set: Plausible (analytics), our email newsletter provider, our hosting provider, and Amazon (affiliate links you choose to click). Each processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not embed social-media tracking pixels or advertising scripts on this site.

8. Security

The entire site is served over HTTPS. Access to our email and newsletter systems is protected by strong authentication. No system is perfect, but we minimize risk by simply not collecting data we do not need.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be announced on the site.
