Full transparency about how this site earns money — and how we keep that from ever coloring a recommendation.

Short version: some links on Cuisinety are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from Amazon at no extra cost to you. We only recommend equipment we would use in our own kitchen, and money never decides what earns a recommendation.

1. What affiliate links are

An affiliate link is a special URL that tells the destination store “this visitor came from Cuisinety.” If that visit turns into a purchase, the store pays us a small referral commission. For you, the price is exactly the same as it would be otherwise — the commission comes out of the store’s margin, not your pocket.

2. The Amazon Associates program

Cuisinety is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. In practice this means:

  • Links in sections like “Equipment I Used” on recipe pages typically go to Amazon.com;
  • When you click through, Amazon may set cookies on your device to attribute the referral (see our Cookie Policy);
  • Purchases made during that visit can generate a commission for us, even if you buy a different product than the one linked.

This program is one of the main ways the site stays free to read, and it requires no payment, signup, or action from you unless you choose to click.

3. How we choose what to recommend

Our editorial rules are simple and firm:

  • We recommend what we use. Equipment listed on recipe pages is equipment actually used to test that recipe, or a well-known equivalent we would happily own.
  • No pay-for-placement. Brands cannot buy a mention, a recommendation, or a link on Cuisinety.
  • Honest reviews. If a product we tried did not perform, it will not be recommended — even if it pays well.
  • Clearly labeled. Affiliate sections are visually distinct, and every recipe page carries a disclosure note directly above the equipment list.

4. Where affiliate links appear

  • Recipe pages — the “Equipment I Used” box;
  • Gear roundups and buying guides, when published;
  • Occasional links inside posts, always in context.

5. Other ways the site earns money

Cuisinety may also display clearly labeled advertising or sponsored content in the future. Any such content will be identified as sponsored, and it will follow the same honesty rules as everything else here. We do not sell your data and we do not accept “stealth” promotions.
